On Thursday the 29th, a crew of seven finished the last 2/10ths of a mile of trail cutting on the Black Cat Trail to complete the 165-mile Cohos Trail foot trail system end-to-end.
It's done.
We can and will tweak it a bit over the coming years, but most of the trail is now off the highways in northern Coos, and the original plan as written and amended is largely complete.
Thank you to hundreds who helped make this day possible. It was a remarkable journey.

The blazes were cut today but the rain moved in - not that I'm opposed to some rain - but it was a torrential downpour at times! Starting to clear now so maybe tomorrow.... Attachments:

Great news on the completion! I'm wondering, what is the state of the maps; the site shows they were last updated 5 years ago, do they show the trail as it exists now? If not, are there any plans to update them?

OK, this is good -- thanks! What about the map question though? Do the maps being sold now have the trail's route as it has been completed?

Hi abr, To the best of my knowledge, the maps have not been updated as of yet. Kim is in the process of updating the guidebook making it a more useful tool for the hikers. The maps should be next in line! Hope this helps.
