The East Side Trail has now been completely brushed out and heavily reblazed along its 2-plus mile length. Blowdowns have been removed and debris pulled from the treadway. From the Nash Stream bridge all the way to the Pike Brook crossing on the northern-most end, the trail is now in good shape.
Next year we will get a power weedwhacker into the north end and a pass with a mower so the trail will be 100 percent. Right now the north end weeds and grasses have been suppressed a bit to make the trek less troublesome, but next year we will get at it and make the journey a pleasurable one along the entire route.
Chad Pepau of Stark and myself put in a good deal of work on the route to try to bring it up to snuff.
