The Round Pond Brook Trail is now completely cut and cleaned out. We still need to put up blazing, but it is fairly easy to follow now. That leaves bog bridging on the Camp Otter Trail and the Covell Mtn. Trail to complete. The Falls in the River Trail and the Moose Alley Trail are seeing lots of use!!!

You can reach the Round Pond Brook Trail and park in a small parking lot by traveling north on Route 3 through the town of Pittsburg and through the hamlet of Happy Corner where Young's Store is and continue on for a good long mile. Watch on your left for the Round Pond Road. Turn left and climb uphill for about two miles on this lane until you come to an intersection. Keep right. A little distance beyond the intersection there will be a lane on the left into the boat launch parking area for Round Pond. Park there.
Walk out of the parking lot back to the lane and turn left, downhill just a few feet. Cross over Round Pond Brook and pick up the trail just beyond the brook. The trail drops south away from the road and continues for the most part on a very gradual downward grade, with a few short rises here and there. Easy going all the way down to Route 3 nearly two miles away.

You can also park at a turnout just across from the boat launch. This is where we park when building the trail.
