This summer, sections of the Col. Whipple Trail in the Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge will get about 100 feet of new puncheon spans to replace some of the older footage in the low country behind Cherry Pond. That should be a big improvement in there.
Thanks to Bob Paradise for milling the timbers and to Reuben Rajala for working with the YCC youth who will haul in the heavy planks and install them.
We have 50 continuous sections of puncheon to install in mid-August in a spruce bog near Coon Brook in Pittsburg to make it possible to open the Camp Otter Trail. If you'd like to help, let us know by emailing cohos@cohostrail.org
