More good news here.
The steel trestle span over Big Brook has its planking in place and heavy rope railing up. It is now open and now formally links the Falls in the River Trail to the Moose Alley Trail. Try it!
The Round Pond Brook Trail between the Round Pond Boat launch area and Route 3 in Pittsburg has been cut over its entire length and shortly the path will be fully brushed, signed, and blazed. Look for it to open very soon.
There is a small falls on the Round Pond Brook Trail. A log bench has been installed beside it, so it will be a nice spot to stop and take the backpack off.
A few thru-hikers are out on the trail now, southbounding. You should be, too.
