The Amish build big barns for neighbor families in a few days. Dozens of folks get together to work together and picnic together and create great structures seemingly overnight.
How about doing that to create a hut? A hut raising! If the Cohos Trail Association cobbled together materials, would you come to a hut raising? Would you be more inclined to work if you were paid "volunteer" earning, say, $100 for a long 10-hour day?
And would you come out if there were lots of free food, free refreshments, and a free after-hours sing-a-long?

I want to help. But alas, it would depend on the time and place. If the work days are the weekend, that increases the likelyhood that I can be there. And for me, the further south, the easier it is for me to get there.
