A couple of young folks are about to embark on a thru-hike of the Cohos Trail. They have a blog started. Take a look:
cohoshike.com
They plan to post their progress with updates to the blog. I wish them well, and wish them plenty of moose, too.
Interestingly, they raised more than a $1.00 a mile in sponsorships, the proceeds to go to Samasource, a nonprofit that brings the great outdoors to inner city kids.

I'll keep an eye out for them. I'll be hiking the northern third of the trail starting next weekend. I'll post notes & photos afterward -- but they won't look as good as Adam's & Biana's blog! ;D

Quite a very nice Cohos Hike blog! Looking forward to their journey report.
May see them on some scheduled maintenance sections of the trail.
We wish them warm, sunny weather, and as always, happy trails!

Thanks for all the well-wishes, guys! Adam & I are totally looking forward to being out there in a few days.
Also, just wanted to clarify that Samasource is an organization that helps people in poor parts of the world find dignified work by encouraging socially responsible outsourcing, while Camp Interactive introduces inner city kids to the outdoors. (We've been trying to raise some money for both.)
Anyways, just a few more days and we'll be on our way!

After reading your post, I wonder that it may be quite possible to work together with these organizations and ours. Spend a week or two next summer to work on the CT to exchange our cultures, to learn, live, and work in the outdoors together while enjoying good fellowship that benefits each.
We should discuss this further. An idea whose time has come. A wonderful idea!
I trust we shall meet, Adam & Biana. On the trail, or off. Many blessings!

Thanks everyone for stumbling across our Cohos Hike blog. Looking forward to cross paths with all of you. We leave on Thursday. I'm not sure how often we'll be able to update it once we're out there, but we'll try our best. MtnMagic, some sort of exchange program between the CT and some of the wilderness organizations for city kids is a good idea. I know a few folks involved with Camp Interactive who I'd be happy to put you in touch with... I'm not involved with them except that I think they're a awesome organization. - Adam
