I'm unlikely to attend. Looks like the cabins are booked and they are the only part of the Lodge that accepts dogs. Given that I'm headed out for a few weeks to hike the Cohos and hopefully a little more, I wouldn't go without my wife (who has been great about my plans to run off to play in the woods), who wouldn't go without our dog and I can't lure her away for 10 hours of driving (round trip) to stay in a tent on the grounds.
Apologies to anyone who waded through the convoluted explanation. I guess I'm hoping that there is an angle I haven't considered.
And greetings to Mtn Magic who it would be fun to see again.

Just a couple of topics I hope we can cover in informal conversations at this year's CT gathering: I need current info on shuttles and other transportation ideas for those of us from distant lands (well, OK, Hillsborough County) who are planning a CT hike. Also, the SF press conference at the border in August (celebrating their CT link) looks like it will dovetail nicely with my planned hike. Anyone thinking about attending just the press conference and not the 3-day hike that follows it?
No firm plans needed now -- looking forward to hearing ideas over pancakes @ Sportsman's Lodge.

11 days to go before the Summer Celebration at Sportsman's...
We have a new slideshow presentation from Greg and Stacy Boone - volleyball & horseshoes - and of course the guided hike up Table Rock. We'll twist Kim's arm to play us a few tunes on his guitar and feed everyone morning, noon and night.
Canoes and Kayaks are available with some of the best fishing around and The Folk Tree will be playing again Saturday night.
So you're welcome to come Friday night, set up in a room or tent - wake up to a pancake breakfast Saturday morning and enjoy the day relaxing and/or participating in the events planned. We'd love to see you there!
