Sunday morning. Come to the East Side Trail (south end) on the Nash Stream Road, just below the big bridge over Nash Stream at Mile 9.
We will be hauling bog bridge timbers and mud sills (log rounds) up the trail two-fifths of a mile so that we can replace a number of rotted bog bridge spans on the trail.
We're talking moving just six 3-inch-wide timbers and dry, light weight log rounds a fairly short distance, then spiking them all together to finish the refurbishing work.
Join us, and have lunch with us at Kamp Kirk a mile away after the work is done. We might even give you a beer. Better than money!
