The last day of May and the first day of June, I will be doing a sweep of the five mile Gadwah Notch Trail in the high country just south of the notch all the way to Baldhead lean-to. If anyone would care to do trail work in that remotest of sections on the CT, please let me know at 603-363-8902 or email wilshy@worldpath.net
Volunteers may stay at Kamp Kirk in the Nash Stream Forest if they care to before the work effort.
The first work day will require a walk of two miles to get to the location where the work will be done. Work will stretch out over about 1.5 miles down into the Sims Stream Valley.
The second day, work will commense from the Bungy Road area trailhead. A walk of a long mile is required to get up to the trail. The trail will be swept from the point where trail worked ceased on the first day to the lean-to, a distance of about a mile.
If you would like to assist, you must be in good phsyical condition and pack in plenty of water and high energy food for the day. Hand tools are permitted, such as a branch lopper, bow saw or hand razor saw, mattock or shovel.
